
IDLab Researchers Win Russian Science Foundation Grants
Two research projects from the HSE University Perm have been awarded grants by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF). The projects were selected as part of the RSF’s competitive funding program for fundamental and exploratory research carried out by individual scientific groups. Out of nearly 4,500 proposals, 534 were selected based on expert review—including two from the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE University

IDLab workshop: How the Reputation of Bank Top Managers Influences Company Performance
On February 14, 2025, as part of the IDLab scientific seminar, in collaboration with the Research Group "Analysis of Reputational Effects of Top Management in Banks," a report was presented on the impact of the reputation of top bank managers on the financial results of companies. The report was delivered by Marina Zavertiaeva, Senior Research Fellow at IDLab and Head of the Research Group, with co-authors Dmitry Kirpishchikov, Junior Research Fellow at IDLab and Senior Member of the Research Group, as well as Anastasia Kireecheva and Eva Chekmareva, Junior Members of the Research Group.

The Relationship Between Digital Capital and Business Success: Discussion at the IDLab Seminar
On February 9, 2025, as part of the IDLab scientific seminar, a research presentation was held on " Digital Relational Capital as a Driver of Financial Success in Russian Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises." The study was presented by its authors—Petr Parshakov, Sofia Paklina, and Evgeniya Shenkman. The research was conducted within the framework of the RSF project 23-78-10149, "Factors of Intensification of SME Resources under External Uncertainty."

A Scientific Perspective on SME Digital Transformation: IDLab Seminar
On January 31, 2025, the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab) hosted a scientific seminar focused on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The presentation was led by Viktor Krakovich, with contributions from Evgeniya Shenkman, Yulia Naidenova, and Elena Shakina. The research topic was "Mapping SME Digital Transformation: A Decade of Academic Debates."

As part of the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Schumpeter Readings," a session dedicated to the digitalization and intellectualization of firms and territories took place. Junior Researcher at the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE Perm (IDLab), Sofia Paklina, successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled "Intangible Resources as a Strategic Factor in the Digital Transformation of Companies." The defense took place before the Dissertation Council on Economics at HSE. The scientific supervisor was Elena Shakina, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Senior Researcher at IDLab.

The results of the autumn competition for educational innovations at HSE University have been announced. Among the winners in the "Free Nomination" category is the project "Microeconomics in Practice – Applying Theoretical Concepts to Extract Information from Data", developed by Professor Mariia Molodchik, a faculty member of the Department of Economics and Finance and a senior researcher at IDlab, and Egor Ivanov, a lecturer in the Department of Economics and Finance and a research assistant at IDlab.
