Members of the "International Academic Cooperation" Project Presented at the XIII "Neighbors in Research" Conference

On April 24, 2026, the HSE Campus in Perm hosted the XIII "Neighbors in Research" research conference, featuring presentations by the research project members:

  • Iuliia Naidenova presented a report titled "The Impact of Digitalization on the Financial Performance of Industrial Companies: The Role of International Activity", carried out within the framework of the project "Internationalization of Companies from Developing Countries: The Role of Intellectual Resources in Response to Exogenous Shocks", implemented as part of the HSE University "International Academic Cooperation" competition. The study assessed the link between digitalization and the financial performance of Russian manufacturing companies for the period 2009–2024, and also examined whether this link is strengthened by a firm's involvement in international activity. Preliminary results showed that the impact of digitalization on financial performance is consistently evident only in companies operating in foreign markets, likely due to reduced coordination costs and increased transaction transparency.
  • Dilmurod Tillashaikhov, a research assistant at IDLab, presented a report titled "Regional Service Exports and Intellectual Capital: A Systematic Literature Review," carried out within the framework of the project "Internationalization of Companies from Developing Countries: The Role of Intellectual Resources in Response to Exogenous Shocks", implemented as part of the HSE University "International Academic Cooperation" competition. The study is a systematic review of 97 academic sources analyzing the connection between components of intellectual capital and service exports at the regional level. It was found that the impact of intellectual capital on service exports is differentiated and varies significantly depending on the type of services exported.
  • Maksim Kataev, a research assistant at IDLab, presented a report titled "An Empirical Analysis of the Impact of the Value Added Intellectual Coefficient on the Revenue of Exporting Companies," carried out within the framework of the project "Internationalization of Companies from Developing Countries: The Role of Intellectual Resources in Response to Exogenous Shocks", implemented as part of the HSE University "International Academic Cooperation" competition. The paper investigated the link between companies' intellectual resources and their internationalization. Data for the period 2007–2021 on 46 Russian exporting companies were analyzed. The results showed that the value added intellectual coefficient has a positive impact on the revenue of exporting companies. This impact is non-linear, exhibiting a logarithmic dependence.
