Open lectures for HSE students from IDLab’s international professors

Between 18th and 20th of September IDLab’s international professor Felix Iturriaga, professor Angel Barajas and professor Dennis Coates delivered interesting lectures for students of Higher School of Economics. On the 18th of September, the lecture for masters students was devoted to the subject of corporate finance. «The lecture enabled the students to recall some the basics of the subject as long as get to learn something new». Open lectures for HSE students from IDLab’s international professors

 Masters students of HSE had an opportunity to listen to professor Angel Barajas’s lecture. The topic was «Mergers and acquisitions».

 Lecture on sports economics, given on the 20th of September, provided an outlook on the subject of sports economics. Professor Coates talked about the background of his research. On the workshop, bachelor students were asked to solve some numerical problems connected to the topic of the lecture, which was a useful bonus for those who study microeconomics at the moment.

 The slogan of these lectures was «Your English is better than you think». In such way, professors tended to inspire and encourage the students to ask questions and participate in workshops. Because practice makes perfect.
