Научный семинар МЛЭНА
На семинаре выступили Анна Быкова и Дмитрий Сидоренко.
Анна Быкова представила свою работу "Intangibles, export behavior and companies performance: the relationship for the emerging market firms".
Краткое описание работы:
In this study, we provide detailed evidence on the importance and performance of exporters compared to
non-exporters in Russian manufacturing, based on firm level data. The results are in line with those
observed in other studies pointing towards the outstanding role of exporting firms with respect to various
performance measures. Use of a dynamic panel model allows us to find that the positive association
between exporting and corporate performance is robust to controlling for many sources of firm’s
observable heterogeneity. In the light of this fact, we discuss the sources (intangible drivers) from which
the effect of exporting on firm results that we observe may originate. Assessing the existence and
magnitude of export-oriented strategy and the pathways through which it operates is important to develop
policy recommendations for emerging markets.
Дмитрий Сидоренко представил свою работу "ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE: ESTABLISHING FRACTAL
STRUCTURE FRAMEWORK".
Краткое описание работы:
This research is aimed at the establishment of fractal structure framework that is based on fractal
geometry applied to organizational culture. It presents different approach to the problem of
cultural integrity – integration vs. differentiation perspective – by studying culture as unity and
plurality simultaneously.
Proposed framework is tested on the case of National Research University Higher School of
Economics in Russia. Case-study utilizes qualitative methods for reconstruction of fractal
structure of organizational culture. Results of the case-study confirm that developed framework
could be applied by researchers, experts and managers in medium- and large-size organizations
for the analysis of organizational culture. Study also reveals advantages and limitations of fractal
structure framework.
