IDLab has organized courses on the application of natural language processing (NLP) methods using Python
Natural language processing methods are one of the advanced machine learning methods and allow for the analysis and synthesis of text data. In particular, NLP methods solve problems such as classification, comparison and text generation. NLP methods are actively developing and their study is relevant both for fundamental research and for the implementation of applied projects.
The lecturer of the course is Alexey Buzmakov, a visiting lecturer at HSE-Perm, an IDLab employee, an expert in the field of artificial intelligence methods. The participants of the course are IDLab employees, including trainees from bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as representatives of the teaching staff of the HSE-Perm.
The course program is very intense. In the introductory part of the course, students will be able to get acquainted with the interactive cloud environment for working with Google code – Google Colab. Next, it is planned to get acquainted with language models such as Word2Vec, GloVe and BERT, work with the library for computer vision and natural language processing PyTorch, thematic modeling. The end of the course will be devoted to the consideration of the ChatGPT artificial intelligence-based assistant toolkit.
