Petr Parshakov presented at the ROSES online conference

Petr Parshakov, IDLab member, presented the results of a study on the impact of expectations on employee performance after job change

Petr Parshakov presented at the ROSES online conference

The study is devoted to the analysis of how high or low expectations affect the subsequent performance of an individual when changing a job. The research is based on sports data - soccer transfers data. The results show that the additional pressure associated with high expectations from the employee negatively affects his performance. However, it is also important to take into account the age of the player - the problem of the pressure of high expectations is relevant primarily for young workers.
The study is carried out by a group of IDLab authors - Dennis Coates, Sofia Paklina, Petr Parshakov, and Elena Shakina.
