Baydina Kseniya participated in Conference on sports economics
3rd year student Baydina Kseniya participated in the 20th conference on sports economics organized bythe University of Turbingen with support of the German Assisiation of Sport Economics and Sport Management
Kseniya presented a paper written jointly with Petr Parshakov about the dependence between the uncertainty of a match's outcome and its attendance. The authors concluded that attendance increases with the growth of the visiting team's winning probability. Kseniya and Petr explained the relationship by the importance of a visiting team brand: attendees want to see the game of a strong famous team coming to the city. Because of that uncertainty the outcome is not so important. Kseniya received valuable comments that should help improve her research.
