Egor Ivanov

Egor Ivanov

Research Assistant, International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy

"I spoke on a topic that was unfamiliar to me - probabilistic process modelling. Despite this, I thought I did well. I am very grateful for the comments from the audience - there is room for improvement".

Nikita Matkin

Nikita Matkin

Research Assistant, International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy

"I wrote a report "Representation of happiness in Russian Youtube: between commerce, science and esotericism". In my report I argued that psychology is a subtle work with mental health, so its trivialisation and the involvement of pseudo-experts can do more harm than good. To identify different narratives about happiness, I collected a corpus of videos of popular psychologists from Youtube. I found that many of them do not have advanced degrees in psychology, and all of them are not affiliated with any particular branch of psychology. This allows them to create their own special authorial approaches and to charge unreasonable prices for their 'e-moducts'. Each of them talks about happiness in different contexts: family, esoteric, neuropsychological, social and others. The results will be published in a future article.
