The study, presented at the IDLab workshop, aims at identifying regional factors of intellectual capital transformation into a company performance. The connection between elements of intellectual capital, which includes human capital, structural capital and physical capital, with the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises are considered. The hypotheses were tested using regression models. The analysis showed that the companies’s performance is related to both the level of intellectual capital and external environmental factors.
