Mariya Molodchik and Egor Ivanov presented the study "IT adoption and industry dynamics", which focuses on assessing the effect of industry environment on value obtained from IT implementation.
IT implementation is deemed to be a major factor of a company’s success. However, there are many side factors which can serve as an obstacle on the path of gaining value from IT systems. The study aims to assess effect of industry environment on value obtained from IT implementation. The work addresses problem of nested data structure by implementing Hierarchical Linear Modelling. The heterogeneity of IT systems applied is considered by analyzing multiple technologies.
