Natalia Volkova, Elena Shakina and Sofia Paklina presented the study "How much jobseekers value their human capital and beyond?"

The study, presented by IDLab researchers, considers tech professionals’ wage expectations and motivation for wage disclosure in CVs. The research focuses on the tech labor market to examine the role of human capital-related determinants (education, computing skills, and work experience) and demographics in a wage-setting mechanism initiated by jobseekers.  The study offers empirical evidence that this wage-setting mechanism initiated by jobseekers suffers from non-rational behavior patterns.
