IDLab Workshop
Elena Shakina presented the first results of the study "Who is more likely to generate blockbuster innovations? Evidence from open-source software"
The study is devoted to the analysis of digital innovations in open source software on the example of the development of packages in R - one of the most popular programming languages for statistical data processing and working with graphics. The innovation process is analyzed from the point of view of the affiliation of the package developers and the impact of the package characteristics on its popularity among users.
The study is being conducted jointly with IDLab members Petr Parshakov and Iuliia Naidenova.
