ID Lab ONLINE Workshop
Anastasia Saltykova and Petr Parshakov presented research results
Anastasia Saltykova presented the report "Influence of non-monetary motivation on task performance", presenting the results of her postgraduate research led by Dmitry Vladimirovich Vinogradov and Elena Vitalievna Shadrina. The study addresses the important scientific question of what motivates people to participate in unpaid experiments. The authors ask what types of non-monetary motivation exist and how they affect task performance. In an online survey, the authors identify different types of non-monetary motivation (help, charity, etc.) and show how they affect task completion.Further, Petr Parshakov presented the first results of the study "Is there anti-Semitism in Italy? Is it related to the holocaust? Providing a brief overview with three field experiments", conducted jointly with a number of foreign colleagues. The authors determine whether, where and to what extent anti-Semitism is present in the Italian labor and housing markets, as well as in Italian (men's and women's) amateur football. The authors use field test facilities in all three areas, contacting companies, landlords, and amateur football clubs. Preliminary results show significant discrimination against Italian Jews in amateur football and the housing market. Surprisingly, the authors find no discrimination in the labor market.
