Stepan Gogolev presented the results of the study "Information channels and general public financial decision making: review of studies"
Central banks have acknowledged the need to adapt their communications strategies to improve reach to the general public, including utilization of rapidly growing social network channels. In the study the author reviews relationship between individual characteristics, sources of information about economic policy and financial decision making. The study describes social media and its specific: accuracy of the information, level of noise, relevance and importance for individuals.
