Laboratory trainees Alina Gilmutdinova and Dmitry Maksimovich presented at the IDLab workshop the first results of the study "Analysis of media sentiment for predicting bank performance" conducted under the leadership of Viktor Krakovich (IDLab, HSE - St. Petersburg)

The study aims to examine how news media sentiment can affect bank performance. The authors use news titles from the leading banking news website as well as financial indicators collected from Russian Central Bank website.
