Analytics for Management and Economics Conference (online)
Researchers of IDLab took part in the next session of Analytics for Management and Economics Conference
On October 28, a track on sports analytics was held as part of the annual conference AMEC (Analytics for Management and Economics Conference), which is taking place this year in an online format. From the laboratory members, presentations were made by Petr Parshakov, Nadezhda Votintseva, as well as Thadeu Gasparetto, who was also the session chair.
Thadeu presented the results of the study "Another Outlook on the Promotion and Relegation System", conducted with Angel Barajas.
Petr Parshakov presented the paper "Job Change and Productivity: The Effect of High Performance Expectations", conducted together with other members of the lab - Elena Shakina, Sofia Paklina and Dennis Coates.
Nadezhda Votintseva, laboratory trainee, presented the study "Does beauty affect salary? An empirical analysis of Major League Soccer data". The work was carried out jointly with Petr Parshakov, Thadeu Gasparetto and Elena Shakina.
