Joint research workshop of ID Lab and School of Economics and Finance
On November 6, a joint research workshop of ID Lab and School of Economics and Finance was held. At the workshop Maria Molodchik presented the research "Intellectual resources and innovations of industrial companies: the role of the region and the industry"
Maria Molodchik presented a study in which the significant influence of the region and industry on the strength of the influence of intellectual resources on the level of innovation of industrial companies is hypothesized. As an econometric toolkit, the hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) is used. It allows to take into account the nested data structure by including random effects. The results show that belonging to the region influences the relationship between enterprise's intellectual resources and the share of innovative products and on the novelty of products. At the same time, the industry does not have a significant impact.
