Research workshop on Sports Economics

At the meeting Peter Parshakov will present the work “Transfer Networks and Team Performance”. The paper analyzes the impact of the transfer strategy of football clubs on sports and financial results. Using network analysis methods, we calculate several indicators of the centrality of football clubs. Then, using a regression analysis, we evaluate their impact on indicators such as the average number of points scored and the club’s revenue.
