Marina Zavertiaeva presented a paper on the conference “Networks in the Global World 2016”
Marina Zavertiaeva presented preliminary results of her joint project with Felix Lopez-Iturriaga on the international conference “Networks in the Global World 2016” that was organized by Saint-Petersburg State University from 1 to 3 June, 2016.
The aim of the research is to make a descriptive analysis of Russian boards of directors networks. Marina and Felix analyze some demographic and corporate governance characteristics like age, education, experience, independence and busyness together with the networks metrics (degree, betweenness, closeness, eigenvector). The presentation received many useful comments for the following research.
The conference program also included workshops. Marina Zavertiaeva attended the workshop of Wouter van Atteveldt, VU University Amsterdam “Analysing and visualizing texts and networks using R”. Felix Lopez-Iturriaga attended the workshop of Ju-Sung Lee, Erasmus University Rotterdam “Introduction to R and Social Network Analysis”.
