IDLab Employees Presented Results of RSF Project at International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development in Qatar
From November 8 to 11, Anna Daviy, a junior research fellow at the International Laboratory for Economics of Intangible Assets at HSE Perm, participated in the work of the 8th International Conference “International Conference on Entrepreneurship for Sustainability & Impact” (ESI), held under the theme “Frontier Technologies for Resilient Economies.” The event brought together scientists and experts from all over the world to discuss how advanced technologies — from artificial intelligence and digital finance to climate solutions and logistics — affect economic, social, and ethical aspects of development. The conference included four days of intensive work, seven panel discussions and presentations by seven keynote speakers.

During the session titled "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation for Business and Entrepreneurial Innovation" , Anna presented research entitled "The Impact of Entrepreneurial Orientation on the Level of Digitalization in Small and Medium Enterprises". This paper was co-authored with Carlos Fernández Jardón (University of Vigo, Spain) and Maria Molodchik (Senior Research Fellow at IDLab). The study was conducted as part of the Russian Science Foundation grant No. 23-78-10149, titled "Factors of Intensification of SME Resources under External Uncertainty".
The core focus of this research is analyzing the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and the degree of digital transformation within small and medium enterprises. The authors demonstrate that business readiness for innovation, risk-taking, proactive behavior, competitive aggressiveness and autonomy directly stimulate the adoption of digital technologies. Two critical factors play pivotal roles in this process: formulating a clear digital strategy and developing employees' digital competencies, which act as mediators transforming entrepreneurial potential into tangible technological changes.
Participating in the conference provided an opportunity to present these findings to an international expert community, engage in discussions about current approaches to sustainable development and business digitization, and strengthen scientific connections in the field of entrepreneurship and future technology research.
