Joint research workshop of ID Lab and School of Economics and Finance

On March 4, a joint scientific workshop of ID Lab and the School of Economics and Finance was held. The senior lecturer Anastasia Redkina made a presentation “Russian Merger Control: in Favor of Foreign Companies? (The Political Economy of Russian Merger Control) »

At the workshop, Anastasia presented the preliminary results of a joint study with a senior researcher of ID Lab prof. Carlos Hardon (the University of Vigo) on factors affecting the approval or prohibition of mergers and acquisitions. Testing of the hypotheses was carried out on the data of more than 7,000 cases in Russia from 2012 to 2014.This work will be presented March 12-14, 2020 at the annual meeting of Public Chocie Society (USA).
